We are excited to announce the launch of our additional Proctoring feature, designed to enhance assessment integrity and provide valuable insights into candidate behavior during CodeCheck tests. With the introduction of Video Proctoring, hiring teams can now have an additional layer of monitoring to help make informed decisions based on candidate actions.
NOTE: Video Proctoring is currently available in beta mode only. If you are interested in joining the beta cohort, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Enabling Video Proctoring on your CodeCheck tests
Proctoring is configured on a per-test basis, allowing recruiters to tailor the monitoring settings to suit their specific requirements. Additionally, you can also utilize global CodeCheck test settings to enable the enforcement of Proctoring features at the account level. If teams are enabled on your account, the settings will be enforced for the specific team(s) you enable this on.
Video Proctoring is disabled by default, giving recruiters the flexibility to choose when to enable it on new tests.
Important Note: Proctoring can only be enabled for tests that have not had candidates invited yet. Existing tests with candidates will need to be duplicated and have the proctoring settings enabled before inviting your first candidate.
Once a candidate completes an assessment that has video proctoring enabled, a recording of their session is available for your viewing in the candidate report:
Candidate Experience in Video Proctoring
Candidates participating in CodeCheck tests with proctoring enabled will see a disclosure on the session's intro page, indicating that the hiring team has enabled event tracking and informing them of the specific behaviors that will be visible to recruiters. We highly encourage you to utilize the Assessment and Hiring Policies section of the test settings in conjunction with the Proctoring Settings to ensure transparency and set clear expectations for candidates.
Before starting the test, the candidate will be required to enable audio and video recording.
They can choose to not agree to this requirement and return to the test at a later time.
Once the candidate starts their test, they can see the recording indicator right next to the time remaining in the test:
Here is how starting the test looks from the candidate's perspective:
