This article explains the steps you need to take before 31 August to keep your Codility–Greenhouse integration running without interruption.
On August 31, 2026, Greenhouse will deprecate Harvest API v1. As a result, Codility will no longer be able to support the legacy Greenhouse Screen and Greenhouse Interview integrations, which rely on this API.
- Customers using these integrations must migrate to:
- Greenhouse - Advanced Screen
- Greenhouse - Advanced Interview
- Customers already using Greenhouse Advanced Interview must also update their authentication from the legacy Harvest API key method to Harvest OAuth.
These changes are required to align with Greenhouse’s updated API and authentication requirements and to ensure Codility workflows continue working after August 31, 2026.
I am using the Greenhouse – Screen integration. What should I do?
Migrate from Greenhouse Screen to Greenhouse Advanced Screen before August 31, 2026. If you do not migrate, the integration will not work any longer.
How should I proceed?
- Keep Greenhouse Screen enabled while you configure and test the new integration.
- Enable Greenhouse Advanced Screen by following the Advanced Screen integration support article.
- Follow the instructions in the article to add Codility Advanced Screening to your Greenhouse job setup.
How do I know the GreenHouse Advanced Screen integration is active?
- Send an assessment to a test candidate and complete it.
- Confirm that you see the detailed Advanced Screen results in the candidate’s Interview Kit in GreenHouse (this can take up to one hour). The results include:
- Plagiarism information
- Suspicious activity details
- Task-by-task performance breakdown
- After confirming that the new flow works correctly, disable the legacy Greenhouse Screen integration in both Codility and Greenhouse.
How do Greenhouse Screen and Greenhouse Advanced Screen differ?
Greenhouse Screen sends basic assessment results to Greenhouse, and only contains:
- The candidate’s overall score
- A link to the Codility report
Greenhouse Advanced Screen sends a more detailed assessment report directly to Greenhouse, including:
- Overall score
- Link to the Codility report
- Plagiarism results
- Suspicious activity information
- Task-by-task performance breakdown
Greenhouse Advanced Screen does not support reviewer feedback and email template selection.
The assessment flow is very similar to the legacy Greenhouse Screen integration, but Greenhouse Advanced Screen provides more detailed candidate results directly in Greenhouse.
I am using the Greenhouse – Interview integration. What should I do?
Migrate from Greenhouse Interview to Greenhouse Advanced Interview before August 31, 2026.
How should I proceed?
- Keep Greenhouse Interview enabled while you configure and test the new integration.
- Enable Greenhouse Advanced Interview by following the Advanced Interview integration support article.
How do I know the GreenHouse Advanced Interview integration is active?
- Follow the instructions in the article to generate an interview link using Greenhouse custom fields.
- Open the interview, wait for the candidate to join, conduct the interview, and complete it.
- Finalize the interviewer notes and feedback.
- After approximately one hour, check the candidate’s Greenhouse application attachments and download the PDF interview report.
- After confirming that the new flow works correctly, disable the legacy Greenhouse Interview integration in Codility.
How do Greenhouse Interview and Greenhouse Advanced Interview differ?
Greenhouse Interview allows you to configure a dedicated Interview stage in your Greenhouse job and create one interview link for that stage.
It has the following limitations:
- Interviews are created without predefined content.
- Only one interview link can be created per configured stage.
- No interview report is sent back to Greenhouse once the interview was completed.
- The Greenhouse Screen integration must also be enabled.
Greenhouse Advanced Interview is more flexible and can be enabled independently of the Greenhouse Screen integration.
It allows you to:
- Create multiple interview links per candidate.
- Add interview links to any Greenhouse stage.
- Select interview templates with predefined content and score cards.
- Automatically send rich interview reports back to Greenhouse.
The workflow differs from the legacy integration. Instead of configuring a dedicated Interview stage and creating one interview link for that stage, Greenhouse Advanced Interview lets you select a template, create an interview link, and add it wherever needed in the candidate’s Greenhouse workflow.
I am already using the Greenhouse – Advanced Interview integration. What should I do?
If you already use the Codility Advanced Interview integration with a legacy Harvest API key, you need to migrate to Harvest API v3 by updating your credentials in Codility.
How should I proceed?
- Go to My Account > Settings > Integrations in Codility.
- Find Codility - Advanced Interview and click "Configure."
- Create Harvest API OAuth keys following step 1a in this support article.
- Copy the Client ID and Client Secret.
- Paste the credentials into Codility and save the configuration.
Note: Your existing Greenhouse User ID can stay unchanged. Your Webhook setup can also stay the same. You do not need to create a new Webhook or update the Webhook URL, secret key, or Webhook header identity.
- After submitting the new credentials, test your Greenhouse workflow to confirm that the integration works as expected. For example, create a Codility interview link from Greenhouse and verify that the interview report is attached to the candidate profile after the interview is completed.
