With AI for Business tasks, you can now assess business and AI-readiness skills with a writing environment built for text answers, not a code editor in disguise.
- Candidate responses now appear as formatted, read-only text in the report, with coding-only signals like CodeHealth removed where they don't apply.
- A library toggle filters to AI for Business tasks, so the right content is quick to find and add.
- Copy-paste detection still applies. Responses are stored in your existing Codility account, no new tooling.
Text-based tasks ask for a written response, not a coding solution. Until now they still loaded the full code editor: language dropdown, output panel, autocomplete, CodeHealth. This UI is irrelevant for text-based tasks and can create confusion and misleading signals for non-engineering candidates.
With this update, text-based tasks show a clean text editor labeled Response, the coding interface is removed, and the report displays the candidate's formatted answer read-only.
AI for Business Category
A library filter also surfaces the AI for Business task content so teams can find and add it easily. This can be found in the Task library on the right hand side with its own dedicated filters.
How It Works
For Interviewers / Reviewers
Add a text-based task (Essay or AI for Business) to a Screen or Interview as usual.
Use the library filter toggle to surface business content and pick from the AI for Business task set.
In the report, the candidate's answer appears as formatted, read-only text in the response area. This works in the old report, the new report, and CSI.
Coding-only signals are suppressed for these tasks: CodeHealth is not processed or shown, and linear typing is not used as a signal.
Copy-paste from outside into the editor is still detected, so integrity signals are preserved.
For Candidates
The task opens a text editor labeled "Response" rather than a code editor with a "Solution" area.
The AI Assistant is the main tool to discover the data and task context.
The candidate needs to use the AI Assistant to discover the data related to the tasks.
Responses can be inserted form the assistant to the editor with one click.
The candidate writes their answer in formatted text. Formatting has no impact on evaluation.
