Device Integrity is an integrity feature that identifies hidden cheating tools running on a candidate's device during an interview.
How it works
With Device Integrity enabled, the candidate joins the interview through the Codility App, a lightweight desktop application for macOS and Windows that checks the device for known cheating tools. The interview experience inside the app is identical to the standard browser version. Any detections appear in the integrity widget on the interview report, alongside existing signals like copy-paste activity and tab switching.
The Codility App checks only for the presence of known cheating tools. It does not record the candidate's screen, monitor keystrokes, or collect personal data beyond what the standard Codility interview already collects.
Enabling Device Integrity
Device Integrity is configured per interview. To enable this feature on an individual interview, complete the following steps:
- Interview > Select "+ Custom Interview" button.
- Scroll down to the "Integrity safeguards" section.
-
Enable Device Integrity.
During the interview, interviewers can see if a candidate is using outside applications with in the Interview.
Reviewing results
After the interview, open the candidate's interview report and check the integrity widget. It will show whether the candidate joined through the Codility App and whether any external tools were detected during the session.
Availability and feedback
This feature is currently available in Private Preview. The Codility App is available for macOS and Windows; Linux is not currently supported.
