ID Verification in Interviews verifies a candidate’s identity by having them complete an identity check before entering the interview waiting room. The result is then displayed in the interview report.

How It Works
For Interview Creators / Recruiters

When creating a custom interview, you can enable ID Verification for that interview when credits are available for the account.

Interview creators can see if an interview comprises identity verification in the interview dashboard
- ID Verification is configured on a per-interview basis.
- Once enabled, candidates must complete verification before joining the interview.
For Candidates

When an interview is scheduled, the candidate is sent an invite email containing a notice about identity verification along with the documentation required to complete it:

The candidate registers for the interview as usual. When ID verification is enabled for an interview, the interview page will contain a relevant message informing your candidates about it:
- Before entering the waiting room for the interview, they are prompted to complete an ID Verification flow.
- Verification is mandatory
- Candidates can verify their identity on their current device or their phone

Candidates will have to take a picture of a physical valid document and a selfie, a process that doesn’t take more than a minute
- One ID Verification credit is consumed from the customer’s monthly allowance
For Interviewers
- Interviewers do not see real-time ID Verification results yet.
- They conduct the interview normally.
After the Interview
- The ID Verification outcome appears in the interview report, similar to how it appears in Screen today.

Is ID Verification optional or mandatory for candidates?
Mandatory when enabled for that interview. Candidates must complete the flow before joining the waiting room.
Can candidates who fail still join the interview?
Yes. Regardless of the result, they can proceed into the session. However they need to complete the process successfully.
