We display both "Effective time used" and "Total time used" for each task of the test.
Total time indicates the time between the first moment the candidate opened the task until the final submission of the task.
Effective time indicates the time the candidate was actively working on the task (had the task open).
For example, a candidate might start a test at 1 PM sharp when he/she opens the first task. Then might switch to another task 2 minutes later and in another 5 minutes come back to the first task, solve it and submit it at 1.30 PM. The total time used will be 30 minutes in this case and effective time will be 25 minutes, as the candidate was looking at another task in those 5 minutes.
