Interview templates can be created to standardize your interviews bringing consistency and fairness to your interview process.
You can create an interview template prior to creating an interview. When creating the interview, you are able to add skills, tasks, questions, and a Miro board.
Skills
To add skills from our Engineering Skills Model (ESM) to interviews: pick the skills you'd want interviewers to assess and preview the Skills Evaluation form in the platform.
For each interview, the interviewers will have the new Skills Evaluation form available during the interview. On this form, they can rate the interviewee's skills and leave notes explaining why they gave their rating. When the interview ends, they will be asked to finish their skill evaluation. The skills evaluations of each individual interviewer are available in the candidate report, where interviewers can still fine-tune their ratings or edit their notes.
When creating an interview template that includes skills, template creators can customize the “How to Evaluate” section with their own definitions and guidelines. This empowers customers to adapt our Evaluations Module to fit their unique evaluation requirements and align with their internal scoring rubrics, making the process more tailored and flexible.
Tasks
Tasks can be added to the interview template in two ways:
- Select individual tasks from the task library.
- Use pre-built assessments.
Questions
Incorporating questions into the template provides a standardized set of inquiries for interviewers when interviewing candidates for the same position.
Interviewers can add notes during the interview to document candidates' responses.
Miro Board
You can add a Miro board to the interview template. Please note that the link has to be public and that sharing permissions are configured in Miro.
Create the Template
After saving the interview template, you can edit or delete it as needed. However, if the template has already been used in an interview, it’s recommended to avoid making edits to ensure consistency. Once your template is finalized, you can proceed to create an interview.
